Just make sure your computer's display settings DOUBLE when trying to mirror your computer screen on a projector or TV. Our problem was that an old computer with a VGA port but without this DUPLICATE option would not send a signal to the projector through either port. Newer computers usually have an HDMI port, but the projector still requires a VGA input. Luckily this fixed the problem when we connected a newer computer with an HDMI port to the projector's VGA port.
