When running this cable from a DVD player to an old Samsung 17" synchro (the one with the TV tuner) it works intermittently, but it does looks like signal is off or the monitor just doesn't like the signal. So the cable offers an adjustment, but something is wrong.

Plugged in, after an hour of operation the screen starts flashing, I look down and the case with the contacts doesn't fit the connector exactly, a piece of metal is sticking out, try to unplug the cable and everything will fall apart I had to use tweezers to get the piece out of the hole.

I keep plugging and unplugging my monitor as I use it on 2 different desktops and the cable is working great after 9 months of use. The fit is also perfect, inserting the plug does not require too much force.

I have an old monitor that I use with my PC, it has DVI and VGA inputs. If you are looking for a coaxial cable, this is not your cable. Likewise if you are looking for cat6. Keep searching. You cannot confuse it with an extension cord. The first thing to note is that it does NOT play any sound. This is not a defect of the product, it's just that VGA doesn't carry sound, so be aware before purchasing.
