Review on 🧡 Candora Assortment: High-Quality Polyester Sewing Thread & Floss for Multi-Purpose Machine Sewing by Kristen Simpson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not the best, but definitely not the worst.

I bought thirty spools of thread for about $0.43 each. I wasn't expecting to get a Gutterman quality thread. But this theme is not as good as I expected based on the reviews. The fibers are loose and not very tightly wound. The pictures show my Coats and Clark yarn (about $2.99 per spool) and this Candora yarn next to it. Guess which. (All photos show Coates and Clark on the left, Kandora on the right.) But even though the fibers are loosely wrapped rather than tightly wrapped, the thread is surprisingly strong! I tested this by sewing a straight line onto one piece of fabric with candora thread, then using my coat and Clark to sew a straight line onto another piece of fabric. Then I stretched and pulled the free end of each line and both broke with equal force. So Candora thread is surprisingly as strong as my Coats and Clark! And Candora yarn also looks beautiful stitched together. Also, the colors are very bright and beautiful. If you are like me and your hobby is sewing, you can use this thread. However, if you sew for profit, do your customers a favor and buy better thread. But if you're sewing super expensive fabric, I don't care if it's for me or not, use better threads! Don't waste expensive fabric by sewing it with inferior thread.
