Review on πŸ”Œ Streamlight Remote Door Switch Assembly by Brian Whitmore

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Streamlight TLR-1 with pressure plate and tailgate. **5**

I've tried dozens of combo lights and mounts for my ARs over the past few months. Surefire is great but I refused to pay for the "name". I have (4) Streamlight TLR-1 headlights on my Glocks. They're durable, dazzling, and don't cost a tidy sum. I was a bit limited due to my training, shooting style and medium length rod until I came across this Switch build kit from Streamlight. Using a rail cover shim installation, it was installed on my Midwest Ind Gen II SS FF rail at 12:00 on the front A pillar. The lantern is set so far forward at 3:00 a.m. on a 3-inch track section. I put the coil through the A-pillar visor, hooked it up to the tailgate and 3 hours later I'm still smiling. The pressure coil is the key to clean, wire-free, perfect fit and finish. This combo from Revain costs about $175 and is every bit as bright, clean, and cool as my buddy's $400 Surefire. Perfect. I have ordered 3 more.
