STAY AWAY - Data Balance Reset

The one star rating is for the service, not the device itself. I've never had any problems with the device. However, the user experience is directly related to the device and the service and therefore a poor quality service renders the device useless. As another reviewer pointed out, they will "lose" your usage. If you don't use 1 MB per month, your remaining data balance will reset to zero. This happened to me and wiped out quite a significant data balance. I refuse to spend more money on adding dates as based on my current experience I expect this to happen again. Things went downhill for me when TruConnect acquired InternetGo service in mid-2016.1) Pricing plans changed and the deals weren't as attractive as they were when I first bought this device from InternetGo in February 2016. I have to give them credit for that they correctly transferred my data credit to the new service and maintained it for several months. In the first few months there was no portal to view the remaining data, but there has been one since around August 2016. You still can't see usage like you used to, but you can track your remaining balance. 2) Then, around September, everything started to fail. I had problems connecting to their network in places I had no problems before, other times it worked again, the portal and usage started to glitch and my data balance went up and down (should only go down, right?). This should be my warning of what was to come. I work in sales and travel a lot. I used the device at least at the end of October and according to their web portal still had a large data balance at that time. A few weeks ago my data balance was reset to zero. I couldn't connect to the internet with it while I was at the client and had to wait until I got home to have time to explore. That's when I discovered that the portal still had 0 MB. I just got off the phone with customer service and they say my last use was early September. Funny, my calendar shows the customer visits I know I'm using the network device for all of September, October and even early November. However, their records show no usage for more than 60 days, so my data balance has been reset. Since they have no usage records, customer support cannot (will) do anything to resolve this issue. So I recommend you look elsewhere for a mobile internet service. TruConnect doesn't work together and you'll regret going with them.
