Battery NOT included

The device came without a battery and after re-reading the product description I couldn't find any indication that this needs to be purchased separately! That's a lot of crap! Luckily I bought a SIM card from my local Verizon store ($20 + tax) and they had an extra battery available. The device had a power cable and no sim card (as expected).

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Unreliable

Biased for networking products

I bought this unit for intermittent use and bought a monthly fill from Walmart, Verizon, etc. It had no SIM card. After spending some time figuring out how to proceed, including visiting Walmart and even the local Verizon factory store that was NOT authorized to do so, I had to travel to the next state, Verizon headquarters. They provided a SIM card and said that all 890L jetpacks are not created equal. Some of them can be completed with a monthly purchase, others require a subscription. So now

Pros
  • Finally bought

  • Some cons

Verizon 4G sometimes hits my wired connection

Verizon 4G sometimes hits my wired connection. Reliable, easy to set up. I used to rent them for onsite wifi access, but ended up buying a unit. Easy activation and $40 for 3 gigabytes of data, albeit overpriced, worthy if a customer takes your breath away.

Pros
  • Many match
Cons
  • Security

Verizon Hotsport - Mobile Broadband

My other device was stolen. Verizon charged me for the service even though I had a police report showing it was one of the items stolen from me at the Atlanta airport. They said I signed up for this service, well. I could still pay for it. So I ordered one from Revain. It was in good condition, it worked well and the price was great. I recommend this product. I've never had any problems connecting this device to computers or the Four G system.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Embarrassing

Reliable connection

I bought a refurbished device to replace the Samsung SCH-LC11 access point which had a second battery that was swollen (I didn't stick to my routine of using the device at night off regularly) and that there were problems with frequent disconnections. We live in rural southern Maryland and our home is surrounded by woods - the signal strength for our location is questionable. Various reviews have shown that this device supports the connection well, and some reviews suggest that it could perform

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • I'll be silent

Great wifi hotspot!

This access point works great if you are in a place where there is no decent Wi-Fi. I borrowed friends from my parents for a business visit and it was great. I researched this model over the newer one and a higher percentage of users preferred this older model. I only use it occasionally, so I use prepaid data. Unfortunately, if the data is not used for a month, it will be lost.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are nuances
