Many years ago I bought a slide show tool in Germany and brought it home. The lamps installed were rated at 25W, 220V and used an E14 fitting. Needless to say, this doesn't work in the US. The filament runs the full length of the bulb, which is another difficult requirement to meet. I couldn't find a replacement for the slideshow lightbulb and left it in the closet for a very long time. I recently decided it was time to fix the slide viewer or give up. Many lightbulb websites did not have replacement bulbs that met all the requirements for a 25W 110V incandescent bulb with a filament running the full length of the bulb. Then there is the question of the size of the E14 socket. Some customer service representatives tried to convince me that finding a working solution was impossible. Then at Revain I found the most difficult part of the solution in the form of a domestic incandescent lamp with a long filament and a rating of 25W, 110V. However, the socket size was E17. Luckily I also found an E14-E17 adapter and the solution was ready. The slide viewer is now working again thanks to Revain and Philips 416289 Clear Appliance 25-Watt T6-1/2 Intermediate Base Light Bulb.
