I almost bought this product because the eyepiece adjustment was described in the Hard Core Camper review. However, knowing that Celestron is known for making generally high quality optics, I couldn't believe that adjusting the right eyecup could potentially cause one eyecup to move 1/2 inch from the other. eyecup. So I took a chance and ordered the Outland X binoculars and am glad I did. For this price I would challenge anyone to find the best binoculars on the market. They are relatively light for their size and deliver crystal clear images. They come with eyecup and lens caps and are easy to focus. I live in Florida, where you frequently switch from indoor air conditioning to hot and stuffy outdoors, and I haven't noticed any noticeable lens fogging. I think "Hard Core Camper" went wrong due to a misunderstanding that adjusting the main focus wheel should be done so that the left eye gets the best possible focus. Then if the right eye is out of focus, yes, you need to adjust it by rotating the right eyepiece. While this may cause the right eyepiece to pop out about 1/2 inch closer to your eye, you can then rotate the left eyepiece to adjust the distance depending on how many turns it takes to optimally focus the right eye the right eye eyecup. Rotating the left eyepiece will NOT change the focus of the left eye. This is simply a device where both eyecups are the same distance from the binocular body. Bottom line, you do NOT have to stick with offset eyepieces. Overall I think you will be very happy with these binoculars.
