Review on Samsung SSG 3100GB Active Glasses Compatible by Balthazar Cooper

These glasses are awesome! They are designed for Samsung TV models 2011 and newer. They are very comfortable and even fit right over your glasses. My 4 year old daughter even wears them perfectly. So they really suit everyone. They are lightweight and the battery life is excellent. I usually get about 70 hours out of a pair. I buy a pack of 10 replacement batteries for a few dollars and they last a year or more. It's nice that they updated them to bluetooth. Now you can go anywhere within a decent range and they'll still work. They work right out of the box. All you have to do is charge the battery. They are only compatible with current Samsung TVs. Although each manufacturer makes their own glasses and none of them are compatible with each other. I find that active shutter glasses are much better suited for "3D" than passive technology. But it seems to be the manufacturer's choice. Sure, passive glasses are cheaper, but personally I don't think the 3D effect is that great. However, the only experience I've had with passive glasses is watching TV on my best local purchase, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I am very happy with these glasses and they do great 3D movies! Samsung has dropped the price to around $50 so they are very affordable. I have 3 pairs of these glasses and 2 batteries and they are much more comfortable on my head. They are lighter and better balanced. They're also slightly cheaper than rechargeable batteries (and rechargeable batteries don't stack). A pair The ones I received from Revain were hacked out of the box but Revain quickly fixed them. Don't hesitate to get these glasses! They are cool!
