Covid 19 delayed the arrival of my silk pillowcase by a few weeks but on arrival the company contacted me to make sure it arrived in good condition which I felt was quite considerate. The pillowcase was well packaged, but smelled almost like vinegar chemistry when opened. I didn't wash it in the washing machine to get rid of the smell as it's silk and after a few days the smell was completely gone. It was still quite wrinkled, but that doesn't bother me. I received a king size pillowcase and it fitted the pillow perfectly and the zipper on the side had just enough room to close the pillowcase. I have to say I was a little nervous about how secure the zipper was and the care I took in adding and removing the pillow. Sleeping on it didn't really mean anything. I didn't notice any back and forth because it's really soft and smooth on your face. I noticed that after sleeping with silk for a week and switching back to cotton at night, my face was more sensitive to the coarser fabric. I sleep with a wedding ring and was afraid it would touch the material, but so far so good. After a week, I haven't noticed any facial oils or moisturizers building up on the material. The pillowcase had no noticeable effect on my hair. Gentle cleaning takes time as I don't have enough money to guarantee a gentle cycle for a washing machine, but that's not the product's fault, just the nature of the product. Overall I'd recommend it if you're looking for something really soft and don't mind hand washing.
