I'm a low voltage wiring professional but I avoided powerline products because they were slow and unreliable when they first came out 20 years ago. I should have returned to them long ago. As with many products, the first generation has many problems that they eventually fix, but unfortunately the first bad impression remains. Either way, this product is cheap, reliable, and delivers near gigabit speeds. Much faster and more reliable than Wi-Fi and a lot easier to knock down a ton of walls to run cables through. I use this product whenever I need to provide a wired connection and I have outlets on the same phase circuit. By the way, I had no problems with operation with a network filter, which is not true for all adapters. I have purchased and installed in multiple environments so this is a solid product.
