To be honest I bought it on a whim. I really didn't know how he would like it. He found more ways to play with this toy than I ever imagined! The obvious way to play with this is to pick the pieces off the pins or throw them down and make a bunch of hilarious noise. He also likes to give them back in different ways - while testing different pegs with different pieces, he likes to smash them together, spin them on the pegs, turn the board upside down and use it as a drum by hitting different pieces. , he tries to stack and knock over the pieces of wood on the ground. He likes it when I fold them at the ends like houses of cards and make a tall tower. The pieces are small enough to be easily manipulated, but not so small that I'm concerned about them. Very interesting and unexpected!
