Review on Tough Tesla Lighter 2.0: Waterproof Windproof Flameless Dual Arc Plasma USB Rechargeable Electric with Built-in Flashlight - Orange by Marcus Morgan

I opened the box, opened the lighter, saw the blue light was active and pressed the igniter. It started and worked. So I did a little test on a piece of paper. It seemed to light up quickly and easily, but it really smelled. It was weird, but I figured it was some sort of paper treatment I wasn't aware of, or maybe something that was just part of the ignition the first time. The included instructions don't say whether the blue light indicates a full charge or not. , so I plugged in the micro USB connector and then the standard USB. I thought I heard a crack. I listened more closely. There was a crackle and a hiss. There is no gas, so what can hiss? Then the "back" where the lanyard opening is located will be hot to the touch. All of this happens in less than 30 seconds or even less than a minute. I immediately turn off the mini-USB. The lighter heats up and the crackling and hissing continues. It really got my attention. And it gets hotter when I hold it to listen to the sounds. End of story - it's now out in the cold as I'm justifiably afraid it'll burn up or explode. It will be back tomorrow. I don't write many reviews but people should be aware of this product. Maybe it was a lemon; I do not know. I know I would be angry if it harmed me or if I relied on this product and ran into these issues when I really needed it.
