The long handle comes in handy when the coffee level in the container is low. One and two tablespoons cover different types of coffee and the recommended amount per cup. I checked them on the gram scale and on the tablespoon to a known accuracy. It's actually very close to a tablespoon or two. Not all measuring spoons are even close to the size listed on them. These shovels appear to be decent quality at a reasonable price. You can buy branded products that look the same but are much more expensive. I don't see the difference, but if branding is important to you, then that's your personal choice. I would buy them again or even give them away.
