Works great on my solar array
**Cannot speak on waterproofing** I used these SAE sockets in my solar generator box so I could disconnect the solar panel from the box when needed. I only used 1 of the 2, cut it off and connected the plug to the solar panel wires and the socket to the charge controller. Was very impressed with the 12 AWG wires.
