I have a competitor RAID that is only 1T (Raid 1) and I needed 3T for my videos; so I have 8T which becomes 4T in RAID 1. I like that G-Tech uses MAC first. It's easy to reconfigure from the included Raid 0 to Raid 1. I was tired that the configurator (just downloaded from the G-Tech site) was giving problems on 10.15 but worked fine. Some have complained about the noise, but it's quieter than my other RAID. It has an enterprise-class fan and drives (which prioritize reliability over noise), so I wouldn't sleep next to it. reasonable speed; I moved about 1TB from a TB3 external SSD in about an hour (230MB/s; your mileage may vary).
