They are excellent for kayaking.
My paddle grips are 1 1/8" in diameter and these grips fit well. They were a bit longer but I cut off about 3/8" from the bottom of the grips and they fit my paddle perfectly. They are a rubberized material that doesn't slip at all when wet. I like these grips a lot more than my previous paddle grips which were foam.And it helps to soak them in hot water for about 45 seconds when trying to put them on the paddle grip.
- The handle not only increases comfort but also protects the handle from small dents in the wood that develop over the years. Now you don't have to worry about a blister from a small dent where the paddle dropped.
