I bought this device with the idea of being able to both listen and transmit at a low volume. The device is solid and well made. It has strong wiring and the PTT works well and is convenient to use. The sound is very good and the earphone is comfortable enough to wear for 8-10 hours. Without the microphone I would give this device 5 stars. If I don't speak directly and loudly into the microphone, everyone in the audience will tell me that I'm speaking softly. Having to speak so loudly into a microphone destroys the idea of covert surveillance. Apart from this problem, the device is very good.
