I really like these pens. I ride with gloves but I needed a pretty gaudy set of locking knobs and I immediately went with the Odie. Convenient, affordable, easy to install, hold up well and they look great, but still. I bumped them into a tree at moderate speed and noticed they cut the rubber, so there's an inch of rubber now. It's not a big deal, it's still rideable, but it bothers my OCD so I bought another set. To be honest I was still looking for an excuse to buy a red jersey. However, the issue was how thin the rubber grip was, only about 1/8 inch thick, or 3mm for everyone else. I would definitely catch a few of these, but be careful not to hit the trees with the steering wheel. Oh, and not. I don't put them on Walmart bikes. I have a kit for my sister's Walmart bike but they are too long. They hold up well, but she spilled on the leaves and the end of the handle broke off. Totally my fault there was nothing under the end of the handle to hold it tight but be aware. ) with a minimum width of 700 mm.
