I have worked in the automotive communication/infotainment industry for 3 years. I didn't have high expectations when I bought this head unit. I bought it for my son's caravan. I figured if it's really bad I might send it back. This little head unit is such a great buy. The fact that Power Acoustik (PA) was able to pass the Apple Car Play (CP) certification gates and still offer a great product at this price point is amazing! If you are looking for a CP radio, this is it. The device is extremely responsive and doesn't seem to get bogged down by the automaker's programs. During my time in the automotive industry I have used CP head units from several car manufacturers. They are sluggish and degrade the user experience due to a pathetic attempt by automakers to be on top. PA's CP-650 appears to be free of this slowness. Don't expect a lot of customization and sound control features from this head unit. You'll have to spend a lot more if you want these features. PA did what I believe they were trying to do, which is to provide an economical alternative for people who want to own CPs, not competitive level car audio systems. I am not a paid browser and have nothing to do with PA. I'm really impressed that they were able to make a really good product at a great price.
