This part is a genuine MOPAR part and a direct replacement if you already have a new car with a 3 pin connector. If you have a broken cover or the outlet broke by pulling the plug the wrong way, then this is what you need. If you're adding an outlet to your car or upgrading an old two-prong (ungrounded) outlet, don't buy one without knowing what you're getting into. Adding an outlet to your car if it doesn't have one, or an upgrade, requires a lot more detail than that. You'll also need faceplates, wires, covers, switches, and an inverter. If you've already done your homework and know everything you need, then this is the part you'll want to finish installing to make it look factory like.
