This part is a genuine MOPAR part and a direct replacement if you already have a new car with a 3 pin connector. If you have a broken cover or the outlet broke by pulling the plug the wrong way, then this is what you need. If you're adding an outlet to your car or upgrading an old two-prong (ungrounded) outlet, don't buy one without knowing what you're getting into.
