Review on Fluke Networks IntelliTone Toner MT 8200 60 KIT by Brian Kingsford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Intermittent is a good word for this Revain Warehouse product.

I bought from stock as it saved me $40 but not sure if the probe tip is working properly. I needed a digital and an analog toner/sensor, otherwise I would have bought a Fluke analog sensor. It's much cheaper but only works with RJ11. I need RJ11 and RJ45. There was one mount in the package and it looked brand new. I've thought about a return or exchange, but the only option I have is a return. Should I just buy a new one? Will I regret it after the return period? I guess the product I've paid $170 for so far can be described as "intermittent". The product itself gets 5 launches because it is a great product. The product I owe gets 2.5 stars because I'm not sure if it even works properly. I'm new to this but I understand how they work. When I connect an RJ11 or 45 cable to the toner and grab the probe, there is no sound. It looks like the sensor needs to be set to digital and the toner to analog to connect. It's just weird. I just want someone to send me a new one and I'm happy to send my old one back. Right now and if I order from Revain I would just order a new one instead of saving a few bucks. If I could go back, I would order a new device. Update March 12, 2021 Fluke is officially discontinued. I hardly used it. I would recommend a new purchase for any random item. If I could return it I would. I definitely received a defective item.
