The glue is OUT! Your things will fall!

In the first half of 2019, I bought a large number of different types of command rods. We painted the inside of our old house to sell. I wanted to put things back on the wall so there are no holes when I take them off. We moved into our new home in July 2019. I've used Command Strips on almost everything on the wall except very heavy items. My walls are textured but mostly flat, so I did my best to place the strips where they would have a flat surface. I also rubbed alcohol on the walls as instructed. 3M says they are for use on flat surfaces only. sadness forever! Where else in a house is there a perfectly flat surface, except on closets? In any case, I overestimated the weight of everything and used large command strips and taped a strip on each corner of everything except the hooks. In October 2020 my stuff started falling off the walls. I painted in 3M and it's mostly my fault for using it on textured walls. I started screwing and nailing the wall decoration. However, I had a temporary, light hanging decoration, so I peeled off the command strip and found there was no glue left on it! I pulled out a different size and it was the same! I started checking them all and most of them were already missing the glue! No wonder my stuff fell off! They don't have an expiry date, so they're supposed to be out like this? I do not think so. I replied to 3M that I no longer wish to use their product and would like to send them whatever I have left so they can refund my money. They sent me a label so I'm sending everything back! By the way, I kept them at home so that they were not exposed to sunlight or temperature changes.
