I work on a glass top table. Every stance I tried didn't have enough weight and/or grip to stay in place. Also, since I use my laptop as a "second monitor," I needed more height to prevent my neck from craning and to get a slightly better angle from my laptop's camera when making a Zoom call. I would have liked about a half inch more of adjustable height, but overall I'm very happy with this purchase. It was also about $10 cheaper than comparable alternatives.
