Poor design, lightweight product

I bought a Wedgit security deadbolt years ago and was looking for a different block for ours second door. I decided to purchase to try this brand as the price was a bit cheaper but unfortunately I had to return this device. The wider main run curls and appears to offer more security. The description of this product says the device is aluminum which is why I bought it, but this rod is plastic with a small piece of aluminum holding a small extension screw. I tried to assemble the device but I didn't like the feel as it is very light. I don't think it can withstand pressure. I return the block.

SECURITY LOCK: To lock the door, place the included security deadbolt between the door frame and the inner sliding panel of the glass door
