Feels rather flimsy. I bought this for my 5 gallon shrimp tank and it definitely has some flaws. Using it with the Fluval Stratum substrate is quite difficult due to its delicate nature. It takes a lot of pumping before it connects. Every time you pump it up, even if you do it quickly, the water will be thrown down very quickly, blowing your substrate and plants away. can be disassembled. Overall, it eventually gets the job done, but doesn't seem to be effective in small aquariums or aquariums with Fluval Stratum substrate. It's cheap and flimsy, but at least it works.
