Suction was great at first, then the plastic tube started to swell and lose its shape and wouldn't hold the pressure ball together. He's in the trash right now.

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the fact this pump sucks too well! It actually pulls up gravel from below and clogs the screen if you're not careful. Otherwise it works great and is worth the money.

I was actually quite surprised how well this works. I wanted the nano siphon to siphon the substrate strong enough for my 5 gallon planted tanks without actually sucking up the gravel and killing carpet plants. This siphon is exactly what I wanted. The best and worst part is how flexible it is.
