I was actually quite surprised how well this works. I wanted the nano siphon to siphon the substrate strong enough for my 5 gallon planted tanks without actually sucking up the gravel and killing carpet plants. This siphon is exactly what I wanted. The best and worst part is how flexible it is. However, I can bypass my faucets very easily where the pipe and siphon meet, they kink easily so you need to prevent that part from bending or it will slow down and stop the water flow, or it will separate and the water will go everywhere. I ended up gluing this together to avoid this problem. A wonderful siphon for the price and the ball pump draws water straight away. I even use it in large aquariums to remove brown dust algae from plant leaves, the suction power is high enough to suck them up right away. I will definitely buy again!
