My OE antenna and mounting stud suffered from storm damaged trees that were closer to the road than I thought. This adapter is great. Attaches to the original base with a set screw. Includes 6mm and 7mm threaded studs. The original antenna is 6. I ordered a slightly shorter version, 22 inches, to keep it from hitting my garage door. Everything fitted perfectly and saved me the hassle of buying a brand new antenna base with the original cable attached which would most likely just break. off again.
