Cut your fuse! And it works fine.

Yes, you need to adjust the amount of heat from the candle by adjusting the length of the wick. If your wick is too long, you'll experience what many other reviewers have mentioned: boiling. If your wick is too short, you won't have hot oil. Also, do not use the candle that came with the kit. You want to upgrade to a regular tealight with an aluminum "cup"/holder. I will explain this a little later. The ceramic oil warmer is a good size. It will hold 1.5 to 2 tablespoons of oil (1/4 to 1/2 inch oil from a standard packet of store bought oil). When I say "about 1.5-2 tablespoons," I mean that's about 2 tablespoons of oil at the level of a half-filled ceramic oil heater. You do NOT want to fill to the brim with hot oil. The heating pad actually holds a lot more liquid, but again, you don't have to fill it more than 1/2 or 2/3 full. You must leave room so that when you dip your food, the hot melted butter doesn't spill out of the bowl and allow that hot butter to come into direct contact with the open flame. Not funny. So only fill about 1/2 full. The amount of melted butter at the 1/2 mark is approximately the amount of butter needed for an entire meal. The spout didn't work as well as it might seem. In fact, I wish this product didn't have a spout. You will be tempted to use the spout and pour. Yes, good for eating, but you're immediately faced with a dilemma: hot oil/butter/cheese is now dripping down the rim of the bowl and you either try to 1) wipe it off right away, or 2) burn it with a candle if you do Put the heating pad back on the fire. Well, I prefer the extinguish option as I crave the possibility of a fire less. It's a little annoying to have to dry off when you can't find your handkerchief at first. hehe hehe. Some other products do not have a spout. Good idea. You can dip your food in this bowl. This is not a gravy boat to pour anything out of. Sure you can, but I hate doing laundry. Unlike a gravy boat, where there is no open fire, there is definitely a problem here. You got my point. The metal mesh is light and not very strong. Well it's strong enough to hold the bowl, I think that's enough. I have no intention of using the rack for any purpose other than supporting the oil tray. The underside of the shelf has no sticky "feet" to help hold the shelf in place on a slippery wood or granite countertop. The frame is covered in a smooth, sleek material that is aesthetically pleasing but not functional. I would have liked a stickier surface material to keep the stand + shell from slipping. The candle that comes with the kit does NOT have an aluminum cup like a regular candle. Problem? Yes. As you use it, you'll quickly find that the melted hot wax is now embedded in the metal candle holder and is difficult to remove. If you were using a candle you could just take out the aluminum cup and throw it away without leaving any trace of wax. Now the wick. A standard tea candle has a wick of about 1/4 inch. If you light it up as is you will generate a lot of heat. Long wick = high flame = lots of heat. Be sure to cook the butter so it melts. Many reviewers reflected on this issue in their comments. What you need to do is trim the wick. I've experimented with different wick lengths and found that 1/8" is just perfect. With a 1/8" wick, the heat is just right - the oil is hot but never boils. Of course you can cut it shorter or longer. " Oil but still not enough to cook off. Also because the oil wasn't more than 1/2 in the bowl. So that. Cut the wick and you have the perfect product. A wick that's too long will cook over that Oil and the oil will ignite, smoke or burn on contact with an open flame. You can also pull on the wick with tweezers to make it longer or shorter. fly. Suppose you think the oil is too cold or too hot , use tweezers to increase or decrease the temperature. It's all simple. The ceramic bowl is dishwasher safe. With some minor improvements this product can work on, it's a 4+ star overall or 4.5+ star. 5 Star Product You see, unlike other oil warmers, you CAN grasp the ceramic bowl by the handle (it's cool to the touch) and you can temporarily move the bowl away from the fire - say by passing the bowl around the table or letting it cool egg Strain a bit on his own plate or pour it in if you really, really want to. etc. etc. Other oil warmers (without a handle) make it difficult for you to pass a HOT bowl of hot oil from person to person. With that soft-touch handle, you can do so much more with this oil heater than other brands (without the handle). So I have to give credit to this design excellence. And this product has the same price compared to other products. All in all a 5 star product.
