Well made, attractive, works well

Just the right size for a family of 4-6. Well made, nice on the table and actually stable. Do not use the 2 candles that come with them as they make a mess. Instead, buy a bag of tea lights in thin metal containers to keep the candle holder clean.

Pros
  • Excellently made
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

When individual portions are needed

This was phenomenal value for money and really brought our seafood pans to life. It doesn't hurt that these sturdy little heating pads will make sure nobody dips in seafood oil twice. I know my guests loved it. I made tarragon lobster butter and it was wonderful. Now I've found that I can probably use them in a few other ways. Love it!

Not the safest oil heater.

Oil heaters are known to do their job well. However, these small pots are not attached to their bases. You just sit on it and the slightest bump or tilt will cause the pan to tip over and spill the oil, or the pan will fall off the stand easily and the very hot melted butter will squirt out and cause burns. I wish I had thought about that before ordering this set. I will be purchasing a set that has a small mold that fits onto the top ring of the coaster. This would be better balanced and oil…

good oil heaters

these are good oil heaters and appear to be well made. My only criticism is that the set comes with tea candles, but the candles are not metal bottomed candles which contain melted wax. You can use the included candles if you don't mind scraping off the melted wax and scratching the surface. Otherwise these heaters work great. The dose of oil gets very hot because the pots sit low on the candle, but if you trim the wick a bit, the flame doesn't get as hot. The ceramic handles of the oil heaters

Very unstable on warm ground.

I like the look and material of the heating pad and I really like that it is closer to the candle than other heating pads. However, a major disadvantage is that it is extremely unstable based on the base on which the heating pad is held. Because the heating pad does not fit into the base, just sits on it, there is a high chance of the heating pad tipping over and spilling. The manly husband and wife often sit on the couch to eat with our food on our trays and since these heating pads move so…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I don't really dislike it much, everything is fine

Cut your fuse! And it works fine.

Yes, you need to adjust the amount of heat from the candle by adjusting the length of the wick. If your wick is too long, you'll experience what many other reviewers have mentioned: boiling. If your wick is too short, you won't have hot oil. Also, do not use the candle that came with the kit. You want to upgrade to a regular tealight with an aluminum "cup"/holder. I will explain this a little later. The ceramic oil warmer is a good size. It will hold 1.5 to 2 tablespoons of oil (1/4 to 1/2 inch
