Well, water is boiling. I bought this kettle to replace a kettle I've been using daily for years. My problem is that I didn't check the colors very well and it doesn't match my coffee set. It's brown and orange. With blue LEDs. Not a fan. I figured transparent bits would do. The cable is too short. I had to rearrange everything and the kettle is still hanging practically over the edge of the counter. Boiling takes forever. Maybe it's the size. Maybe it's the insulation value of the container. The lid is sticky. Difficult to open and fill, drips back when poured. I can't brew coffee barefoot anymore because the stain is too shallow or something and I get boiling water on my feet. But at least the water is boiling. To update. A month later, the LEDs stopped working.
