Both these and the Hunter socks have a great fit and are comfortable. The plus size is perfect for my 10.5-11D feet and fits my calves which are medium circumference. My height is 6 feet. I love the Gavel color and am disappointed that only wood was available for Hunter socks in my size. That being said, the Hunter socks have 11% more wool, while the Bunyans have noticeable pilling on the surface, although both socks are new, which I find a bit of an issue. Both come with a lifetime guarantee, so we'll see how they hold up. Although I really wanted them to make ceremonial socks. it was cold enough to use the hunters regularly.
