It exceeded my expectations. The camera is larger than I expected, but this allows it to produce a sharp image at a fairly long distance. The display is nice and big and the picture is good (see the attached picture of the screen showing when reversing down the slope). The color tends towards orange a bit, but this improves the contrast so you can see what's behind you very well. The screen allows you to customize with the buttons on the front. The screen comes with a variety of mounting options, including those shown on hinges (with two knurled knobs to adjust and then lock), as well as a windshield suction cup and dash mount. I used a windshield and it's strong. The camera and screen are metal rather than plastic, so you can be assured of long-term functionality. The installation is quite easy and the instructions are good. The camera can be permanently connected or connected to the reversing lights so that it only turns on when reversing. This should provide a forward view, except when backing up if you have a second camera. The screen can be cigarette lighter (with cigarette lighter plug included) or hardwired (plug is used and cigarette lighter plug has plugs, but both have wired plug options as well). Both the camera and the screen have a matching antenna that you screw on so they can easily get a good range. I haven't noticed any interference from other sources of noise, so the digital connection seems good compared to the normal analogue connection, which is a little louder and much less clear. The only caveat is that the camera is large, so you'll have to consider where to mount it. It also has decent focus at a decent distance, so it can be aimed down or down. Note that you can just cut the loop of wire to add redundant lines if that makes sense - I didn't use that.
