These will be my very first experiences with "normal" speakers:) Before then, there were a number of Svens who were champions of the more affordable price bracket. It is, of course, superior to the sound coming from a television or laptop, however. It isn't until you've listened to Edifier that you understand how much of a difference there is in quality (and, of course, money). My thoughts are as follows: 1. When turned on and in standby mode, they do not produce any audible noise whatsoever (all of my previous speakers produced a "pop" when turned on and / or turned off, buzzed gently or not very quietly, depending on the volume level and the absence of sound). These speakers do not. In these, there is complete and utter silence! 2. Real, heavy wood that is stunningly gorgeous. Upon opening the packaging, the odor is not that of plastic but rather of something very sophisticated and of superior quality. 3. Complete absence of noise pressure. Until you make an effort to speak, the volume is not noticeable at all (within the bounds of what is considered to be normal, of course). Because the music is so distinct and free of any distracting background noise, it does not place any strain on the listener's ears at all. I didn't even bother trying to turn it up all the way to the maximum volume:) 4. Call for a preheating period. I even managed to become angry when I turned them on for the first time because there was absolutely no difference between them and inexpensive speakers. No bass, and no highs or mids either. Sound that is totally uninteresting. And it wasn't until after one and a half to two hours that they eventually "sounded" enough to the point where it was simply hard to stop listening to music. 5. The sound quality of the wired connection and the Bluetooth (4.0) connection seemed identical to me. Bluetooth reception is excellent all over the flat. The on/off functionality can be accessed using the remote control. Not only can the volume of the sound be controlled with the remote control, but it can also be adjusted directly from the source (you can lower the volume on the phone). If one device is connected, the second one will not connect; therefore, you do not need to worry that your neighbors will connect to your speakers because they have already listened to the music and turned it off. 6. The remote control has controls for turning the device on and off, switching playback modes (cable to Bluetooth), controlling the volume, and pausing playback. The board is on the diminutive side. It has little trouble striking the column, and there is no requirement that the aim be precise because the impact angles are satisfactory.
