I am creating several reports that I want to view in one long file throughout the day. The recorder has an annoying habit of ending a file in the middle and starting another file with a new file number. It happens randomly when I don't press any keys for it and when I don't want it to. This is driving me insane because I don't know how to prevent this. You may need to call tech support and ask for help. I was going to buy a second recorder but now I'm waiting to talk to them. The rest of the recorder works perfectly. The thumb slide switch is something I've been using for 30 years and is exactly what I needed.
