Review on Verbatim 4.7GB 8X DataLifePlus Shiny Silver Silk Screen Printable DVD-R - Pack of 50 in Spindle by Christopher Cortez

I had a similar situation as another reviewer. My computer, which is now 5 years old, still does everything it needs to, except the disc can't write to 16x (or faster) media. When all the local shops were failing me, I took these discs. I only have ten discs but they all burned perfectly. Thank you Verbatima! My only (minor) issue is that both sides of the disc look the same, so make sure you mark the correct side after burning! But heck, as long as it works on my computer, it's a tiny nitpick. I will buy more. UPDATE (3/1/15) - I've already gone through almost three full packs of these discs. So far I've had maybe four that haven't blown. And one of them was from a bunch of discs that I dropped down the stairs, so I don't blame that disc. So the success rate so far is 132 out of 135 discs, give or take. I think that's a pretty solid relationship. UPDATE (2/2/16) - I'm still using these drives with no problems. However, the latest batch arrived with the white side on the disc, not the silver side (which closely resembles the side you record on). Maybe this is done to make them printable? (I don't know as I don't print labels on my discs) I'm very happy to see that they are trying to make the discs more user-friendly.
