I have a 46D7000 so I can't speak for other sizes or the D8000 series but based on other reviews I believe the problem is very common. The hardware does not match the TV. Small screws are too small, big screws are too big. Drywall anchors are complete junk and tear out of the wall with minimal effort. Also, the instructions clearly state that the drives are to be wall mounted 15 inches apart. It's a good thing I had drawn a diagram of the mounting points on my wall to see at a glance that it would be impossible to hang the TV cable over the discs if I did it according to the instructions as they are in the be would be in the same place as the brackets that screw into the TV. Good quality drywall anchors (I knew I should have done this from the start) I would have liked to have used studs for attachment but the position of the TV did not line up with the studs and the cable to hang the TV is quite shorter as a result not much Space to play with position. I used a large screw with a larger washer in the wall on the stand roughly midway between the TV and cable for extra support or in case one of the anchors fail (didn't think it was necessary, but did give some peace of mind) . If you have a D7000 and remove the following from your TV wall mount box: * A suitable length cable (there are 2 of these depending on the size of your TV) * Lower mounting legs * And wall mount washers *.and throw the rest in the trash! *Then go to your favorite hardware store and buy 4 screws about 5/16" larger than the small screws that came with it and buy some good quality drywall anchors. This saves you a lot of time, energy, stress and curses. I could do it again, I could omit this product altogether and buy 2 decent sized screws, 2 large washers, 2 nylon spacers and a mirror mounting kit. I like the wall mount. Discs and cables (hence the 2 stars). I think they will be hard enough to find, probably worth the price of the product, but please save time with a hacksaw and those cheap anchors by running to the store quickly, and also don't forget to sketch everything on the wall beforehand.
