So I used this to compress a garden hose connection. I didn't see the hose while mowing and cut it in half. So I just bought butt connector barbs from a big store. I had an old zip tie that was the right size, so I used an old zip tie I had on one side for a while and one of these zip ties. on the other hand. I tightened the old clamp with a flathead screwdriver. Very tight, no problem. I tightened a new yoke from this kit and before I actually apply torque to it the tensioning mechanism slips on a tooth and you can't tighten it. I threw this one away and got two new ones to put to one side. So did the two. Yes, two of them took the pressure of a garden hose just fine, but I wouldn't trust them any more than a plain garden hose. Of course, they are not reliable enough to be used on a car radiator hose or heater hose. So quantity and choice is good but as they don't have power I advise you to stay away from them.
