We have had this food processor for almost a year (purchased September 2021). About a month ago (July 2022) the black plastic cover that keeps the safety lock in place so the processor and engage the blade popped off. I could not get it to go back in place. So today (August 2022) I contacted their warranty service to see about getting a replacement as I was 1 month away from my 1 year warranty expiring and after explaining the problem was told "wear and tear items aren't covered" he then went on to tell me that the replacement bowl and lid would be about $45. I just said ok and paused til he talked again because I honestly was like WTF and didn't want to say something rude. He offered to give me 50% off of it and since that's all I was going to get I conceded and paid for it. He also waived the shipping but come one. It's not like a blade broke or the bowl cracked a functional safety feature stopped working as a result of who knows what. That all being said I still love the Ninja brand. We have a coffee maker, a blender and this food processor which I do love despite the poor service. I hope they better their warranty service because this is terribly disappointing.
