I would recommend choosing a different security cable, especially if you have a PowerBook or MacBook. This one is poorly made, even worse documented, and may have permanently damaged my PowerBook G4. (Yes, the product's website states that this model is compatible with the PB G4.) The cryptic instructional diagram on the back of the box doesn't tell which direction is locked and which is unlocked. (Hey, is it really that bad to use *words* to explain things? Even in 4 or 5 languages if you want. Diagrams don't make sense.) Trying to get this to work, it turns out that the locking teeth chewed through my PowerBook's security slot. This could have permanently damaged the slot. Needless to say I will try to return the product for a refund. There are many similar products on the market including others available through Revain. I would suggest trying one of them.
