The kayak holder was fairly easy to put together and also fitted to the crossbars on my van. It is recommended to try to align the rubberized top and bottom and put threaded screws in them so that when adding on the crossbar it will be easier to take them out and connect to the bottom. It would also be nice if the lower part that rests on the bar itself also had a rubberized coating so as not to scratch the bar itself, since the underside is all metal with grooves. The roof rack is easy to adjust. for holding the paddle as well as boards of different sizes, kayaks, canoes and more with the included straps and the ability to change the angle at which the carrier sits.
