Good kayak stand. Affordable price, excellent quality. Straps are fine, but use in addition to the ratchet straps that come with the rack. Collapsible when not in use!

Nice set of kayak cases. Appears to be well built. Good handlebars and strong, thick pads. Installation is easy. Including paddle holder. "Printing plates" I do not know, see photo. The houses in this set are too small for carriage bolts. This is the first time I've seen them and they are not needed. I'm assuming they're meant to hold the two halves together, but clamping on both sides isn't necessary at all. A bit pricey but looks solid.

Very strong and well made roof hooks. My son is an avid surfer and sometimes goes kayaking with his friends. He always had to leave his trunk open and tie his surfboard down or tie it to the roof, so I grabbed him to make room and make it safer for him. They are very easy to install and dismantle if necessary. Easily and seamlessly install his surfboards, even his and his friends' kayaks. Very good quality, great price, highly recommended.

This rack is a perfect match for our Dodge Journey's original roof rack. I was concerned that it would "fit" but didn't feel solid. That was an unnecessary concern, all the mounts are adjustable and finally this is the most reliable stand I have ever owned. The rack itself is well designed for the job. I loaded kayaks directly onto a Thule roof rack. I had to lift everything up at once and then tip it onto the roof. Difficult and back-straining. This allows me to load one end and the J-hook secures the kayak while I lift the other. Simple, simple, which means I'll be going more often. The kayak holder was fairly easy to put together and also fitted to the crossbars on my van. It is recommended to try to align the rubberized top and bottom and put threaded screws in them so that when adding on the crossbar it will be easier to take them out and connect to the bottom. It would also be nice if the lower part that rests on the bar itself also had a rubberized coating so as not to scratch the bar itself, since the underside is all metal with grooves.
