Mounted on 9HP HMSK motor. for the snowblower. Having rebuilt the Tecumseh carb three times over the years to stop cycling and stop at low rpm, I was amazed at how this solved both problems. Be aware that some adjustment of the high and low speed needle valves may be required, but with fine tuning (with nothing more than a screwdriver) you will be impressed by the performance increase of this carburetor. A note on installation, some have commented that the two screw holes are unthreaded. The original screws on my 9hp model, used for unthreaded holes, are self-tapping and only require heavy pressure to drive into the aluminum casting. I believe Tecumseh, like the car company I worked for, used this method to ensure a tight fit to avoid loosening due to engine vibration.
