Better than today's repair kit

Had to replace OEM that came with snowblower in 1993. For as long as I can remember, the blower has always worked badly. I installed this carburetor in 30 minutes and it has been working flawlessly ever since. This should work from the start. I didn't have any adjustments needed, I just removed the lever from the old carburettor, put that in and done. Very happy with the product so far. I use the fan for about 4-6 hours from the moment of installation and everything is fine.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Very expensive

Worth the money for spares

Worth the money Overall it works as advertised but it came with a rough finish due to poor quality control but luckily the seal worked and the processing scars weren't that big or deep and it works still without leaking gas or sucking in too much air. Great value for money and PR adjustments are close to what my motor needs and I got it running better than 2 years for $13 for $10 so for $3 I saved a lot of time I would recommend saving time

Perfect replacement for 33 year old snow blower

This worked great on my dad's 33 year old Simplicity snow blower! So incredibly happy. Everything fits perfectly, with an extra dump valve on the bottom to let off gas at the end of the season. The car started with a puff (before that you had to use an electric starter and pray a lot). Great product for such a low price. Why try to restore the old? Super happy! Only minor adjustments were needed (leave the screws alone until it works). You'll need to be careful but secure in the screws that…

Incredible increase in performance. Better original.

Mounted on 9HP HMSK motor. for the snowblower. Having rebuilt the Tecumseh carb three times over the years to stop cycling and stop at low rpm, I was amazed at how this solved both problems. Be aware that some adjustment of the high and low speed needle valves may be required, but with fine tuning (with nothing more than a screwdriver) you will be impressed by the performance increase of this carburetor. A note on installation, some have commented that the two screw holes are unthreaded. The…

. This carburetor (aftermarket part) has been redesigned in a way I've never seen before. The manufacturer actually built 2 parts that used to be plastic tubing into the carburetor mold fill. it was a weak point in the original. Place of frequent failures. whoever thought of putting this in the carb form and thus getting rid of the use of tubes is a genius. Not only does this tell me that this parts source is a good aftermarket source, but that this parts company took the time to study every…

Close but. - Fuel system

Troy's 8.5hp 8 year old snowblower had a PITA emission carburetor. Romp, not lazy, normal. Before YouTuber donyboy73 posted a solution for this, I was desperately trying to deal with it. For less than the cost of a carburetor tune at a local shop, I bought an Oregon carburetor, zero emissions of course, and installed it myself. Any professional can do this in under an hour, even less time if you are experienced. Has been going great for years. Then the tank gasket started leaking. I got this…

Best buy this year!

I was skeptical about the $13 carburetor made in China but worked great on my old 1980's Ariens 8hp Tecumseh snowblower. I wish I knew these carbs were available at such a low price last year. Spent most of the day last winter rebuilding the original carburettor and cleaning the injectors but was still struggling with float problems and engine surging while running. This carb arrived quickly, bolted on, no problems threading. Fired up on the first puff and only had to adjust the mixture screw…

Luckily I have a complete tap set with me.

The unit I received looked exactly like the older original models. The engine I was working on (brother) was a solid jet engine with no adjustments and clogged from years of neglect. The purchased carburetor is adjusted as always. The location of the mounting holes for the bolt on the fairing bracket as well as the choke lever have been positioned/positioned correctly, but note that the holes are unthreaded. Luckily I have a complete set of taps and dies in my shop. I don't know if this is…
