Review on Sperry Instruments DM4A Voltage Multimeter by Justin Elmore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good DMM with perfect accuracy

Very happy with this Sperry DMM. So many that I order another one in case I lose it. I already have a couple of analog multimeters, but I wanted to give or take a digital one for more accurate measurements, while the analog one has a bit more wiggle room. That's what this one is good for. I also like that it only takes one 3-volt CR2032 battery, while my old Sperry Digital Pocket Pro used two #357 batteries. I usually find it easier to find CR2032s in stores than #357s, which for some reason aren't in stores, right when I need them. The continuity feature on this meter is also good and works well, and the AC and DC reading accuracy seems spot on on the knob. Very glad I bought this. I've been using my old Sperry Digital Pocket Pro a lot for over 20 years, so I'm hoping this new Sperry DM4A will be my workhorse too. And as I mentioned before, if I lose this one I'll order a second one. Hey, I'm old; You will probably get what I mean one day too!

Pros
  • Auto shut off and low battery indicator
Cons
  • Big and chunky
