Review on LeveLok Ladder Permanet Leveler LL STB 1AL by Rahman Lassiter

Great alternative to falling to your death

Leveling ladders certainly save lives. What I used to do to level the stairs didn't meet OSHA standards, let's just say. These aligners appear to be much stronger than others I've had in the past, with a heavier build and a locking mechanism that won't disengage while there is weight on the ladder. Confidence in such devices is a big part of that, and the overall aesthetics of these aligners give me that confidence. Are they REALLY better than other brands? It's harder to say. They're a little heavier than any other leveling system I've had, and since I put them up a 32ft ladder that was already pretty heavy, I wish they were a little lighter. They're also more difficult to attach when holding the ladder with both hands than some of the other options I've used. Because the legs are spring-loaded, they require a little more force to lower than some other models, and it can be difficult to put your foot on the bottom plate at times. Letting go can also be a bit painful because the legs have to lift off the ground. Most of the time this is a minor issue, but a few times I almost tripped over the ladder trying to get my stretched legs up and free. The extension range is also somewhat limited compared to other leveling systems. However, no other system I've used had traditional rotating ladder legs at the ends, and that was a huge benefit for me. This allows you to let grass, mud or snow run through your feet. And it has rubber pads for use on concrete, wood or any other hard or flat surface. Many other types of levelers are only good for certain floor types, and these LeveLocks seem to be a one-size-fits-all solution. I've found that I still need to use other types of aligners for some of my stairs, aligners that stretch further or are lighter or easier to set up, but they also have a permanent place in my stair arsenal because they seem to be safer and can do some things that others can't. I would buy them again.
