Review on Sonos PLAY Wireless Speakers Streaming by Meghan Davis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Expensive but worth every penny.

Without a doubt the best speakers I have ever owned. For the price you expect a lot from these tiny speakers and believe me you'll get a lot. You will be surprised the first time you listen, I can almost guarantee that. The bass is amazing and the music is so crisp and clear I can hear new components of songs I've heard thousands of times. You'll also be amazed at how loud these things sound without any noticeable distortion, and with two of these you can create a stereo pair for a truly unrealistic listening experience. They're controlled by an app you download to your smartphone, and as long as both the speakers and your phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi connection, you can play individual songs, arrange songs in a playlist, or listen to them on the web. Radio stations from many supported apps like Pandora, Spotify, Google Play Music, iHeartRadio and more. Each speaker can be configured to represent the different rooms it sits in and can even play two different music sources in different rooms at the same time! One underrated feature is how portable they are. Unplugging and plugging in for installation in another room takes about 20-30 seconds for the speaker to reset, after which it's ready to play music again, and setting it up in the first place or a new home is quick, easy and straightforward. The software is constantly updated (which can be a bit tedious at times) and the app sometimes lags and makes you wait, but those are really tiny complaints about what you're getting. Yes, it's a lot of money to pay for two small speakers, but I've never been happier with an electronics purchase in my life. I've had them for several years now and they sound and work exactly as I bought them. If you're looking for a home music streaming system, look no further. These are the speakers you need.
