Review on AT&T CL82257 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone with Answering Machine | Call Blocking, Caller ID, Intercom | Long Range, Rose Gold - 2 Handsets by Alex Hensen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

good call blocking features but not great sound quality

I needed a call blocking phone that would do more than the meager 50 ring limit of most phones. this one blocks while you read, 1000! You'll need to read the instructions carefully to understand how to set this up, but once you do it's nice to receive unwanted calls as the phone will handle them for you. The sound quality is good and makes a solid and durable impression. The only thing I complain about is that they have the usual miserable directory capacity - only 25 numbers; It doesn't make sense if you need to have numbers in the directory or on the allow list so they don't get blocked. Also, it's difficult to find a list of "Permissions" to edit. but I recommend this phone as a phone with good anti-spam, October 2020 update: the phone still works well but I am reconsidering my "sound quality” rating. I don't actually use phones for making calls - I use another phone like this to have a "stupid" or weird sound effect and something like "echo" or something. It annoys me though, this is the phone my husband prefers to use as it's loud enough for his hearing impairment so a compromise. Also, I've found that when I'm talking to someone (on any phone) because we have "call waiting" when a call comes in, we both hear the announcer announce a message to the other caller during the call at all (which isn't in the allowed list or directory) and it's so loud it interrupts our communication and then repeats this message over and over ---=argggh=so I had to turn call waiting off. I think it's a bummer. But at least the phone is still buzzing; It's good.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Sad hardware
